James Petros, MD

James Petros, M.D. License #A90732 is an interventional physiatrist,

with an internal medicine background, who specializes in providing consultation and multi-faceted care to patients whose pain does not respond to conservative care. He performs EMGs and interventional procedures such as epidurals. Dr. Petros received his B.S. in Biology

Basil R. Besh, M.D. License #A83582 is a hand surgeon, who is Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Besh handles our difficult hand, wrist and elbow injuries treating fractures, tendon and nerve injuries, performs microsurgery, carpal tunnel releases, and wrist arthroscopy as well as other procedures. Dr. Besh has been treating industrial injuries since 2004. Dr. Besh has an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering and was Valedictorian at Columbia University School of Engineering. He graduated from medical school from Georgetown University School of Medicine. He completed an internship in General Surgery, residency in Orthopedic Surgery, and fellowship in Hand Surgery at New York University.

Janet E. Kraemer, PhD

Janet E. Kraemer, PhD License #PSY14161 is a licensed Psychologist who provides consultation and treatment if needed to help injured workers expedite their recovery. Dr. Kraemer received her BS in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and her MA and PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Psychology at Alliant University. She attended a post-doctoral fellowship in Clinical Psychology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. Dr. Kraemer is a member of the Santa Clara Valley Psychological Association and California Psychological Association. With that in mind, she is part of our multidisciplinary team of providers involved with our functional restoration program for chronic pain patients to assist them with developing skills to better tolerate and manage their chronic pain flares.

Dear Optimal and Alliance

On Friday I got the request from Michelle at Alliance to schedule transportation for todays surgery. I ask Michelle at Alliance to call Optimal to schedule. Just as I was leaving for work on Friday, I got a voice mail from Michelle that she called Optimal and they told her that she could not schedule that I would have to call first and give the authorization.

I forgot to call before I left for work, but remembered on my way home. I called Michelle at Alliance from my cell phone and she gave me the number to Optimal. I called Optimal and spoke to Mace. I gave him the authorization to schedule the transportation. I told him that I had ask Alliance to schedule but Michelle was told I had to do it. He said that was not correct they could have taken the information from Michelle when she called and then email me to make sure it was authorized. In any regard Mace said that I could call Michelle back and give her his extension and he would get the information from her since I was on my way home and did not have Ms Mazy cell number or the address for the pick up on Monday.

Had Mace and Michelle not been so helpful in assisting since I did not have access to the file, then the arrangements would have not been made and the surgery may have had to be postponed.

Just want to give you some positive feedback about these two employees and how they assisted me in a RUSH situation.
