Joanne received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from San Jose State University. She is fluent in English, Cantonese, Mandarin, and some other Chinese dialects.

Monisha Chanan DC License #DC00138043 has worked in occupational medicine since 2000. Monisha completed pre-chiropractic requirements through Cal State University in Hayward. She received her doctor of chiropractic degree from Life Chiropractic College West. Monisha is fluent in English, East Indian Punjabe, and speaks limited Spanish.

James Grubinskas DC License #DC25571 has seven years of experience in occupational medicine.  He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in San Jose.  Dr. Grubinskas focuses on home exercise programs and works under the direction of our primary treating providers to expedite recovery from work related injuries.

Richard Esquivel  L.Ac., DNBAO, QME License #AC8252 has 4 years of experience in acupuncture and oriental medicine.  He received his Acupuncture Orthopedics training from Lerner Education at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.   He also attended the Five Branches Institute of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Santa Cruz, the Meridian Institute College of Integrative Chinese Medicine in Monterey, and the University of California at Berkeley. He is a Diplomate of  the National Board of Acupuncture Orthopedics as well as a Qualified Medical Evaluator.  He is the Founder and President of the Foundation for Acupuncture Research.   We are pleased to have Richard as an adjunct to our medical team of providers.

Val Kshirsagar PT, OCS,CHT License # PT33476 has worked in physical therapy for over twenty years.  Val graduated from the University of Bombay with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.  Val is a registered physical therapist, is a board certified clinical specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy, and is also a certified hand therapist.  She founded and operated her own outpatient physical therapy facility in Cincinnati, Ohio which grew to two locations.

James Pedreiro, DC, QME, CCSP License # DC25608 has been working in injury prevention and occupational medicine since 1999.  He received his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from Life Chiropractic College West in Hayward.  Dr. Pedreiro is a Certified Injury Prevention Specialist, an Industrial Disability Examiner, and Qualified Medical Evaluator.  He provides ergonomic assessments as well as injury prevention program for our clients.  He is fluent in English, Portuguese and Spanish.

Ronit Ben-Abraham Katz, MD; License #A045535 has worked in occupational medicine since 1989.   She received her medical degree, magna cum laude from the Sackler Medical School, Tel Aviv University.  She then completed a fellowship in cancer research at Tufts New England Medical Center and later was appointed a faculty member at Harvard University School of Public Health.  Dr. Katz is board certified in preventive medicine, with a subspecialty in occupational and environmental medicine.  She is a fellow of the American College of Preventive Medicine.  Currently, Dr. Katz is a clinical assistant professor at Stanford University Medical Center as well as being a full time physician at Alliance Occupational Medicine.  She was awarded the 2007 AMA Foundation Excellence in Medicine Award.  She also was selected as a top doctor in Silicon Valley in Occupational and Environmental Medicine in February 2003. Dr. Katz is fluent in English, Hebrew and speaks some Spanish.

Elizabeth Murphy M.D., M.P.H. License # G66347 has been practicing Occupational Medicine since 1994.  She graduated Yale University School of Medicine in 1988.  Dr. Murphy is Board Certified in Occupational Medicine.  She completed her residency in the Preventive Medicine program at the University of Arizona.   Dr. Murphy has published numerous articles related to preventive medicine.  She also understands the perspective of insurance carriers having worked for Liberty Mutual for more than three years.
